Christmas lunch in Beirut

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM BEIRUT!
My beautiful cousin Isabelle invited us for Christmas lunch.
She is a great cook and a fabulous hostess. I was thrilled to go and relievedas well.
Firstly, the tables were set up inside and outside on the balcony.
We had a few courses to wet the appetite:
Some salmon…
Some creamy, light and citrusy tuna paté…
Some locally made goose liver paté… so good I wanted to eat only that!
A plump turkey…so moist…with a ham and mushroom stuffing.
Brussel sprouts and chestnuts sauteed in butter…
A mixed greens salad with lemon vinaigrette…
An assortment of cheeses…
A mango tart with pastry cream,
A Saint-Honoré.
Putting the finishing touches to the Mont-Blanc (chestnut cream over meringues and topped with whipped cream)
And just in case you don’t fancy desserts, a little scoop of fresh fruit salad.

Iove your photos, if I am not mistaken the photo of the building behind the beautiful Red Christmas Poinsettia
flowers is by Burj Al Mur/Riad El Solh Area….Love the Photo of Jounieh , and eating outside on the balcony….gorgeous view, I learned from my sisters that it was + 22C in Lebanon on Christmas Day, and here we were covered with snow and freezer rain….Oh God I miss all that beauty and my family and the weather and the nice people and yummy food.

Quel beau repas !
