Hi Joumana, I have just watched several of your shows and wanted to say that I have enjoyed them greatly.
How is the Pitta bread made in Beirut please? It looks so different from that which we get in the UK.

@Toffeeapple: First of all, thanks and am so glad you did! Regarding the bread, in Beirut and all of Lebanon, the pitta is called “arabic bread” (khubz arabi) and is made in two main sizes, 9″ and a large 15″ (I need to measure them to know the exact size). It is also much thinner. In Beirut these days, bakeries are really trying hard to please everyone, so they make some with oat flour, with bran, with whole wheat, with rice flour even for celiacs, etc… In addition, there is a tiny size used for cocktails. 🙂
